Painted in the fields on an overcast spring day when the flowers looked absolutely florescent against the gray sky. This valley is the place where my mother grew up and where I was born, so this painting is particularly rich with history and attention. The texture of brushstrokes is tactile, making this original painting juicy and interesting.

The painting is in oil on quarter inch panel. The frame is handmade 3/8” unvarnished fir, and is 1” deep in profile. Eye screws and a wire are installed in the back, ready to hang.
