When I paint waves, I look for the geometry in their form. I see triangles in the foam, and curving lines in the smooth ramps of water. In painting this wave, though, I lost track of physics and created lines that don’t quite work with physical reality! I call it The Contrary Wave, because it defies reality, a little like an MC Escher design.

This unframed oil painting is on panel, and measures 6”x11 1/4”. The panel is 1/4” thick, and does not have hanging hardware attached. It can be framed, although the size is not standard. It may also prop up on a shelf. The panel is firm and will not warp.

All paintings are snugly packaged and shipped with tracking and insurance.
