Once upon a time my sister and I drove across the United States in an old pickup truck. In the depths of dried out eastern Colorado we stumbled upon Great Sand Dunes National Park, which is where the photograph that inspired this painting was taken. The sunset was like grapefruit juice lit on fire.

5 x 5 inches, gouache on composite panel. Has a clearcoat of oil varnish. Can be propped as is or framed.
