This is one of two recently discovered silver pendants that have been freshly adorned with enamel moon paintings. The moon is painted atop a radiant glowing background sprinkled with stars. Tiny craters and shading are detailed on the moon.

The locket is sterling silver, flat and dime-sized. It comes on an 18 inch, 1.1 mm sterling silver chain, closed with a lobster clasp.

The enamel is extremely durable, but these lockets should still be handled with care - like a painting! They may be gently cleaned. I polish the exteriors with a silver paste and wipe it off with warm water and a soft towel.
